Volunteer & Driver Training

MiDAS is the Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme which promotes a nationally recognised standard for the assessment and training of minibus drivers.  It is a membership-based scheme that has been designed to enhance minibus driving standards and promote the safer operation of minibuses. Fermanagh Community Transport is the organisation who delivers MIDAS training in Fermanagh. We run 5 hour courses throughout the year which consist of minibus driving theory in a classroom environment with a multiple choice exam at the end of it.  Following the classroom based element of the training, all students will complete a one hour practical examination out on the road in one of our 16 seater minibuses with our instructor.  MiDAS membership lasts for 4 years.
